Terms of Service

Vichith is an AI-assisted platform for generating and editing video, image, and audio content, with Chithra (an AI assistant) helping plan and produce your projects.

You must be 18 or older to use Vichith. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account.

Generation is paid for with credits, purchased in fixed one-time packs (currently Starter, Standard, and Bulk — see Pricing for current pricing). This isn't a subscription — you buy credits when you want them, and pack pricing may change over time. New accounts also receive a starting grant of free credits.

If a generation request fails, is rejected, or times out, you are not charged for it — credits are only spent for a generation that actually completes.

Each project gets exactly one free video generation, capped at 5 seconds and 720p, using whichever model is cheapest to run at the time. Still images, Character Gita, and project planning are not metered by this limit — those draw on your credit balance separately, same as any other generation. The free preview cannot be repeated, regenerated, or upgraded within the same project once used.

Purchased credits are not refundable. This is separate from §3's never-charged-on-failure guarantee — that protects you from paying for a generation that didn't work; it isn't a general right to return unused credits for money back. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@vichith.in and we'll look into it.

You keep ownership of anything you upload (video, images, reference material). You confirm that you have the right to upload it and to have it processed by Vichith and the AI providers described in our Privacy Notice, including material depicting real people, which you may only upload with their permission (or your own, if it's you).

You own what Vichith generates for you, subject to (a) the terms here, (b) the license terms of the underlying AI providers that produced it, and (c) your own compliance with §8 below.

You may not use Vichith to generate, upload, or process content that:

• Depicts a real, identifiable person without their consent, including sexual or defamatory depictions.
• Sexualizes or otherwise exploits minors, in any form.
• Is intended to harass, threaten, or incite violence against a person or group.
• Infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
• Is illegal under applicable law.

We don't currently run automated content moderation on every request — enforcement today relies on what the underlying AI providers themselves refuse to generate, plus manual review if something is reported to us. Violating this section is grounds for suspending or terminating your account, whether or not it was caught automatically.

Generation requests are also subject to the content policies of whichever AI provider actually processes them (see the Privacy Notice's §3 for the current list). A provider may refuse a request that doesn't violate anything above but does violate their own policy — that's outside Vichith's control.

You can stop using Vichith and request account deletion at any time from Data Controls in Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for violating §8, non-payment, or abuse of the service.

Vichith is provided "as is." AI-generated content can be inaccurate, unexpected, or occasionally fail outright — we don't guarantee a particular generation result, uptime, or that any specific model will remain available. (Standard "as is" / no-warranty language — needs legal review for final wording.)

Placeholder — standard limitation-of-liability language belongs here (e.g., liability capped at amounts paid in the preceding N months, exclusion of indirect/consequential damages). Needs legal drafting specific to Vichith's actual risk profile before publishing.

Placeholder — governing law and dispute-resolution jurisdiction need to be specified by counsel (likely India, given Vichith Inc.'s and its primary providers' operations, but this should be a deliberate choice, not a default).

If we make a material change, we'll update this page and change the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use Vichith after a change means you accept the updated terms.
